The demand for energy is growing at an alarming rate compared to the finite fossil fuel source to meet that demand. As climate change threatens the environment and by consequence, global supply chains, world leaders are looking to utilize cleaner energy sources.

The YSEALI Summit inspired career fellows to explore renewable energy themes and question how the energy infrastructure poses challenges to switch to sustainable energy. Host organization New Energy Nexus is the world’s leading ecosystem of funds and accelerators supporting diverse clean energy entrepreneurs, from emerging tech through to clean energy deployment and adoption. They run programs which are locally tailored to support the specific needs of entrepreneurs in that region providing capital, mentoring, skills and networks to help them thrive. They support such entrepreneurs by connecting them with the right partners locally and globally, pilot and scale their technologies in multiple markets and connect favorable startups with global funders.
The career fellows that worked with New Energy Nexus were Ariestelo Asilo, Sackdavong Mangkhaseum and Ari Jeffry. They worked under the guidance of their mentor Stefanie Mayr, program associate at New Energy Nexus. The career fellows assisted in research of organizations and programs that support energy entrepreneurs in Thailand. Throughout their fellowship career fellows made meaningful contributions to the Ecosystem Landscape map project which provides an overview of the new energy landscape including the different key players and their energy-smart technologies.
